Support—a gift that blesses
(Originally published on Spark People on 16 January 2011)
I was emailing a new Spark Friend this morning and
I made this comment: How could I ever feel alone or unsupported again? Yes, I
sometimes feel undervalued and unsupported at work, and lonely as an unattached
single woman. But I have just found this awesome circle of new friends around
the country who encourage me, who believe in me, who celebrate my successes, who
share their insights and wisdom and thank me for mine, who challenge me, who
make me laugh, who share my interests, who inspire me. I am so blessed and my
life is so rich because of them. And I've met them all in the last 9 days!
I am not perfect, so I know I may stumble,
backslide or just sit down and rest from time to time. That's OK. I also know I
have many loving and generous Spark Friends ready to reach out and pull me up,
give me a nudge (or push, if I need it), or just help me find my balance again.
And I can do the same for others, paying forward the support and encouragement
I have received and by which I have been so abundantly blessed.
To me, this is Divinity in action. When we let God
work through us, miracles can happen.
Blessed Be, Amanda
